Vote for Phil’s pics in the people powered photo contest
Uncategorized December 9th, 2009If you haven’t had a chance yet you should check out some of the photo’s posted in our flickr gallery – all taken and contributed by our fearless photographer Phil who has worked hard capturing the faces and rides of folks around our neighborhood.
Phil entered a few of his shots in a photo contest and has made it to the second round of voting. So check them out below and click on the image to be taken to the voting site. The resolution is better at the contest site. Remember vote and vote often. Voting closes December 31st.
Here’s my favorite a photo of a very practical Vivian on the DotBike art ride
And here are his four other entries.

I vote for the guy bringing his bike into the pub with bars on the window. I’m guessing he’s three strikes DUI?

100psi again displaying an appalling amount of ignorance (one that is likely shared by too many in the cycling community). If they had bothered to actually click on the photo and look at the title and caption from which I quote “Dot Ave Rider getting to work
He’s been riding to work to clean that bar for his third owner now” they might appreciate the photo for what it is and think about the fact that while some of us ride for fun, fitness or what have you others may have no choice in the matter.

Thanks for the vote, even if it was for the wrong reasons. The guy has been riding a bike for the ENTIRE 25 years I’ve lived in Dorchester. I would say he has a cognitive handicap. PLUS, you give me the chance to point out AGAIN what Andy realizes is MY POINT relative to my photos. MOST of the riders I take photos of are using bikes as an improvement to their other options which are walking or public transport. None of the riders in this post (except perhaps Vivian) own a car… WAKE UP and spread the word please!!!
