We had our first DotBike get-together this week on January 22, and were bursting the seams of our meeting place.
We have this blog and a google group set up.
We are planning an early spring ride up Dorchester Ave to Boston Common and back.
The ride will include giving out free or cheap headlights and bike helmets.
I met with St Marks Area Main Street last night.
They have branded themselves as the only ‘green’ Main Street in Boston and are extremely interested in working with this group.
SMA Main Street really wants bike racks and ’share the road’ signage in the district, which runs more than a mile along Dot Ave from Melville Ave south to Ashmont T station.
I promised them this group would help with a subcommittee to determine best locations and request to city asap.

Our next meeting will be February 12, 6 pm, at a new [larger] location - 42 Charles Street, VietAID, Fields Corner I am pretty sure.
as soon as I figure out how to use the calendar, events will appear regularly.
Tschüss!
